It’s not like the waves to give me away
It’s not like the heart to find a new start
It’s not like the sea to let go of me

Wishing and waiting
Anticipating
Every single day
Each and every way

It’s not like the sky to come between you and I
It’s not like the tide to take us on this ride
It’s not like the heat to leave us out on the street
It’s not like the sea to throw stones at me

Doing the best that I can
Trying hard to understand
Every single day
Each and every way
