Sovereignty

Under God, is our Nation. His back is not turned.
For your sacrifices in combat recompense be returned.

Your legacy of nobility, devotion and honor
is the quality of my life, my sons and my daughter

For all whom we've lost: your memory has remained.
You, who covered the cost while our freedom was gained.

In God we trust to give rest to the soldiers
who carried the burden of combat on shoulder.

Commemoration for one day: nowhere near adequate
for being justice, independence, and liberty's advocate

Each of us, we are free
All across this land
You won. Rest in the sovereignty
of our Father's hand.
