Is it to Forget

Have you ever wondered why people get high
Do they do it just so they can live and get by
Or is it to forget the past and all their pain
Is it because it helps them to not go insane

That's the excuse that most of them use
They say it's too help forget all the abuse
But in the end they all know it's a huge lie
After a life filled with sadness they all die

Those people should focus more on life
They need to realize life cuts everyone like a knife
So next time you wanna go and get high
Then buy a plane ticket and fly up into the sky
